Kullu is a town in Himachal Pradesh.
It is located on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley.
The valley is famous for the spectacular scenery with its majestic hills with Pine and Deodar forest and apple orchards.
Raghunath Temple, a temple where the main deity is Lord Rama is a big draw with Hindus. Shringi Rishi temple and Maha Devi Tirth temple are the other temples which are popular.
This area is famous with trekkers and rock climbers.
A visit to Rohtang Pass from Kullu is something you have to do. Solang Nala, hot water springs in Vashishth and Manali are other places you can visit from Kullu.
In winters it is also a popular Skiing resort.
Bhuntar is the nearest airport close to the city but with limited service. Jogindernagar is the nearest railhead and is connected to most major cities via Chandigarh.
The picturesque town is a popular tourist attraction owing to its natural beauty and many temples. Raghunath Temple is a prime attraction of the town while Jagannathi Devi Temple, Basheshwar Mahadev Temple and Bijli Mahadev Temple are also well known.
