Uttarkashi is a religious town in Uttarakhand. Not to be confused with Kashi which is Varanasi. But this town has a lot of similarities to Kashi and hence its name. It is situated on the banks of the Ganges river. It has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva , the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
