Kolar gold fields (KGF) is a town in the Kolar District of Karnataka. The township of KGF comprises mainly of the various establishment and employees of BGML. Although, famous for being one of the few gold mines in the country, mining activities are currently non-existent. The town of Kolar is also known for its rich history. Mahabalipuram is a town in Tamil Nadu only 60km south of Chennai. Its proximity to the capital and presence of numerous historic monuments makes it a very sought after destination. It has been classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.
